24th Masters Allround Games Wrap Up with 24 IMSSC World Records

CALGARY, AB – The 24th Masters Allround Games wrapped up Sunday at the Calgary Olympic Oval.  Following another thrilling day that saw six International Masters Speed Skating Committee (IMSSC) records fall – Champions in the Mens and Ladies age categories will be crowned at the Awards Banquet this evening.

In total, 24 new IMSSC records were set this weekend with Arne Foldvik of Norway setting a new mark in all four of his races.  Foldvik also set a new record for Allround Small Samalog (80-84) with 200.843 points. Vladimir Kostin (KAZ) also posted 4 new records with several skaters totalling two on the weekend.  Jan van der Meulen of the Netherlands set a new record in the 3000M Mens 70-74 year-old category as well as a new Allround Small Samalog record with 179.676 points.
