Yamada, Pederson & Pelkey to Skate for Canada

A trio of Oval skaters booked their first tickets to international competition in Europe at the Short Track Canadian Championships.  Brendan Yamada and Matej Pederson made the trip over the Atlantic as part of the Canadian contingent attending the International Invitation Cup in Heerenveen, NED October 13-14.  The following week they were joined by Caitlyn Pelkey as all three competed in the 27th Alta Valtellina Trophy in Bormio, Italy Oct 19-21.

EVO Western Elite Circuit #1

Calgary, AB (9/30/18) - The Olympic Oval wrapped up the first leg of the 2018 EVO Western Elite Circuit on September 30th in Calgary. A furious weekend of racing saw the 500m, 1000 and 1500m distances skated, points collected by the skaters in the two age categories from this weekend will be totaled along with any points attained in the EVO WEC Finals (Winterfest) in February to find the EVO WEC Champions.
