Stick & Puck

Stick and Puck is a public skating time that allows the use of sticks and pucks on the ice. All ages and skill levels are welcome. This is not a shinny time. Nets are not provided nor allowed on the ice. Break in your equipment or get ready for hockey tryouts during this time.

Adult: $7.00
Youth/Senior: $4.75

Rules

  • No contact (i.e. checking)
  • Helmets with cages are mandatory for all ages and skill levels.
  • Must be wearing a CSA approved hockey helmet (with cage or visor), hockey gloves, and hockey skates.
  • Full equipment is permitted and recommended however, there will be no dressing room provided. Players can get dressed next to the rink on benches provided. 
  • Players must bring their own pucks. Pucks will not be provided.
  • Nets will not be provided nor permitted during this time.
  • Playing hockey games (shinny) during this time is not permitted.

Rules Cont'd

  • Pre-practice warm-ups (i.e. Running on track, stair climbing, skating on other ice surfaces) are prohibited.
  • No shooting pucks outside of the hockey rink.
  • Players are expected to share the ice with other users, respecting the space and safety of others.
  • Use of profanity, discrimination or inappropriate language is not permitted.
  • Groups/Individuals are responsible for any damage they may cause to the facility.
  • Spitting/chewing of tobacco products is not allowed.
  • Anyone under the influence, consuming or possessing alcohol or drugs will be refused entry and/or be removed from the facility.
  • Ice Patrols will be monitoring the activities happening during this time.

Stick & Puck is a new time that allows the use of sticks and pucks on the ice. It's a lot of fun and helps players break in their equipment prior to hockey try-outs.
